I thought this thread was going to be about materials stuck in our roof's gutters.

Still would rather have free expression of art and the like without something like the Hayes Commission resurfacing. Hollywood put a lot in code to get around the Hayes Commission like you would when talking around a little kid.

Hays Code - Wikipedia

On another subject, I found Strays very endearing and funny.

What movie did you go to see. If the theater was showing a PG movie, and the coming attractions were R, I can understand. As we get older it seems the world has gone mad. Either we are becoming too sensitive, or the world actually has gone mad. What was the movie attractions that bothered you so much?

I recently read a book that was great, but I won't mention the title or the author. Did anyone else read it?
I think, for a change, the movie was better than the book.

I remember when the 'old people' complained about how we looked and how we talked. Not to mention Elvis and his pelvis. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I'm sure you'll like it even though its Historical fiction, Fantasy many of the events correct in time line, ENJOY
Just downloaded the Audiobook Series 1-8. Due to content it may have been removed from Florida libraries.
I agree, they should have the series in every classroom from pre-k thru 8.

I had always enjoyed any show before and didn’t think I would ever see this distasteful entertainment in The Villages.
What was the movie about the 80's?

There is a lot more graphic violence and sex in movies and TV shows that you would rarely see in movies in the 1970s and even 1980s.

And video games seem to be way out there.

Strays probably would have received an X rating in the 70s. But it is kind of average for bathroom humor movies in the 2023s.

I "THINK" the OP was OK with the movie, but found the coming attraction unacceptable. I "think". If both are rated R (The feature and the coming attraction) I really see no issue.

Question for the OP: Are you a nun?

For at least 20 years, probably a lot longer, previews/trailers have been rated PG-13. No idea what the OP was harping about. Lack of detail leads me to think this was just a trolling effort.

If you are offended by the trailer, you know better than to go see the movie. Maybe that trailer saved you from spending money on a film you might otherwise have gone to see.

Maybe you should go see “Bambi” instead. Cute little deer. Oh, wait, Bambi’s mom gets shot by a hunter. And Bambi makes babies somehow with Filene.

Dumb Money is not out yet. It is supposed to be released later this month.

However, it is rated R for pervasive language, sexual material, and drug use.
