Default What's "FIRPTA"?

Viewing Courtyard Villa resales. At the end of the "Features" column for VLS 209090 it lists "FIRPTA".

What does that mean?

I can only guess "Free in-room private Trainer Assistant". Don't think that's it. And I sure as he** want nothing to do with a PTA!

Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act. It's a U.S. tax provision on foreign people with interests in real property. You can look it up on Wikipedia for more detailed info.
