The Sumter County Sheriff's Office has just issued a Community Alert as follows:

"A Sumter County Sheriff's Office employee's social media communication account has been hacked. The hacker is attempting to solicit funds, please do not provide them any personal information. We will not, nor will any of our employees reach out to you via social media to request money. If you have received a message of this sort please disregard it. If you need to reach us, please call 352-793-2621."

I am not part of the Sheriff's Office, I just thought I would pass this along so all will be aware. It comes from the Sumter County Sheriff's Office app, which I recommend highly.
