Default Need help! Rain coming into house!

I am very frustrated and looking for help. My front room has a bay window and I happen to find the carpet below the window was quite wet after a blowing hard rain. Called home warranty department to get referrals and I got:

(1) An "inspector" who came out, used a moisture meter and saw no moisture on the inside walls. He went outside and dug around the window and said he could find no leaks. No charge. He left. Said "maybe" some roots are growing under foundation and possibly slab is cracked in that area. Call someone else.

(2) Then home warranty recommended One Restoration and a lady came out, again said no moisture on walls but she spied 4 hairline cracks on outside window sill. Advised us to caulk those cracks, in the morning on at least 3 days. We did. Another rain and carpet inside is still wet.

(3) Called homeowners insurance who referred us to a referral group called Castle Care, and their solution was to have someone come out and clean up the water. No advice on how to get the problem fixed.

(4) Called home warranty again who were "surprised" that their earlier referrals did not result in success. No other suggestions.

(5) Started back calling first person ("inspector") who won't return out call.

So I have wet carpet along the baseboard of this room under the window. I can't figure out how to pull up the carpet as it is glued down but it HAS to come up and out! I have no clue on who to call now as I just want the problem fixed and any necessary repairs done. Before anyone mentions, I do not have gutters but I plan to get them, but the roof line above this window is angled so water would run off to sides of house.

Who can I call? Referrals? Phone numbers? A contractor? Surely not a plumber as no plumbing is near the problem. A sprinkler is near but inside carpet gets wet after a hard blowing rain.

TIA. Appreciate any help. Can you hear that I am desperate?

Are you sure that the carpet isn't still wet from first soaking? Try walking on it with towels and place a fan directed at it and see if it stays dry after it dries thoroughly now that you have caulked the hairline cracks. We had a lot of water from blowing rain from not properly caulked windows when we first moved in. There was a really strong wind and rain that blew sideways that blew it in. They caulked the windows and no more since then.

Are the windows locked creating a tight seal ? Plus check the mounting screws outside I found several broken on mine.
