I remember getting a flyer about something at Rohan for new villagers on the first of the month.

They conduct a sort of "orientation" for renters and new villagers where they can come in and pick up their Villages ID's (for renters) but also have a chance to speak with people about many of the activities that the Villages offers, review of the tee time reservation system, meet reps from the Daily sun, etc. Of course, with renters, the Villages gets a chance to try to flip these folks over to potential buyers (which could be seen as competing with landlords to possibly steal their clients) but overall, I've heard from renters that I have sent there that the sales pitch isn't too hard and the event was helpful and informative - only negative was that it was all the way down at Rohan and should be more central (perhaps Colony or SeaBreeze)...

Call the Villages ID office and they can give you more details.

You're more than likely referring to the "New Resident Lifestyle Expo" which is held the first of each month at the Rohan Rec Center, from 8am-2pm.
