I think it's interesting how both these papers can write three articles about the 'signage issue' and not say YES.... you can put up signs or NO..... you cannot put up signs.
You know, that's all any of us really want to know!

There is no absolute yes or no. It depends on where you live in The Villages and the deed restrictions and covenants for your area. You are not going to read it in the papers but you can review your deed restrictions to see if it is a yes or no for you.

Downeaster is mostly correct - there is no absolute YES or NO and it does depend on where you live in TV. South of 466, it is a NO. North of 466, it is a DEPENDS. All the deed restrictions, in all districts, say NO but some districts have decided not to enforce that, others are straddling the fence and awaiting "input" before they announce whether they will enforce the deed restrictions or not.

The answer north of 466 is what? Lady Lake... yes? Village of Santiago, NO? There are conclusions. Why can't someone draw the lines?

My understanding of this is that if your District votes to not enforce a certain restriction you are no longer able to call in a complaint regarding violation of that restriction. Community Standards can only take action on those items that each District has voted to enforce. You do, however, retain the right to take the individual to court on the issue. Doubt that anyone would ever carry it that far over a sign (but who knows...)
