Default Neighbor thinks our corner lot is dog park

What is it pet owners who think their dog using my yard as a bathroom, supersedes my property rights? They think if they pick up after their dog, it shouldn’t bother me. I just don’t want them in my yard. The funny thing is, my neighbor lives on a lake with tons of room. They allow there dogs to 💩 in the island in our cul-de-sac, and think nothing of it. I want to get along, but they won’t see my side, because they claim it’s a nothing burger because they clean up after the dogs. They miss the point. I would like to hear y’all’s thoughts. 🥃🥃
I’ve owned pets throughout my life, and it never let them go to the bathroom and someone else’s yard.

They can walk the dog on the island and if they pick it up I don't see a problem. They should stay off your lawn if you do not want the dog on your lawn.

Show them who controls the irrigation system in your yard!

Agree, they shouldn’t allow to be on you’re yard, but you have no control or say so at other common places. Why? It not you’re property.

Many people have opinions on this subject. We try to get our dog to do her business in our yard before walking. I
On the walk we keep her in the street and don’t allow her in peoples yards. If she has to go again then it is in the street or she waits until we are at a common area like an island or along a pond etc.

I think it is wrong for dog owners to allow
their dogs to use your lawn as a dog park.
Like you I’ve had dogs in the past,
and never allowed them to do their business on others property.
The dogee do free for all,
was definitely a new experience for me
upon living here.
But alas, we have to accept that
there are many entitled, rude,
inconsiderate dog owners living inTV
that give dogs a bad rap!

there is no excuse for a lazy rude pet owner to allow their dog to defecate on another person‘s yard.

That and the owners don’t pick up after them, in that area. That would be OK with you because that’s not “your property“? I guess I was mistaken I thought we paid for all the landscaping that goes on around the villages through our amenity fee. I didn’t realize the dogs could use the bathroom in any common area in the villages.
Have you asked them to stop?

Go back and read the original post. They claim it’s a nothing burger because they pick up after their dog, and it shouldn’t concern me. That would be like telling me it would be OK for their dog to take a 💩 in my house as long as they pick it up.

Anyone who buys a corner lot should not be surprised that a lot of people let their dogs crap there. That's how it is in The Villages.
