Sadly, I’ve come to learn that most pet owners in The VIllages are disrespectful of other peoples property, proven by the constant postings about this issue. A real blemish on the location’s image. They should change their motto to “America’s Dog Poop Capital”

BUT with all that said...if that walker does not pick up the poo....all bets are off and on go the sprinklers! Lol
And the above is a long winded rationalization!

Didn’t you read the OP’s post, the issue was people having their dogs relieve themselves on another's property, and not on easement’s!

I guess we don't have your permission to talk about dog poop. Great way to make friends. Welcome to TOTV.

I respect your opinion.

I have a pet dog. I didn't take offense to his/her comments.

I really believe that anytime you let your pet pee/poop on a neighbor's property, then what you are saying, without words, is more true than anything you could say with words.

I don't think it was an attack on me personally--I think it was an attack on ALL dog owners. And I take offense at blanket accusations.

I agree with you completely. However, people are so quick to escalate that you can hardly have a discussion where you disagree without it turning into something unfortunate.

When it comes to politics, religion/non religion, children, grand children, and pets, people are completely vested in their absolute truth.

There is something in our society that has occurred over the last decade of politics, culture, and the pandemic that has made us incapable of rationale debate.

I do bet.

Unless you are coming from a homogenous neighborhood like The Villages, you will do it until the homeowner finally catches on, then you'll begin a downward spiral of escalation that may end very poorly.

In so many places where there is socio-economic differences, racial and age diversity, people feud over smaller things. In many communities this dog pooping issue is more about respect than the simple act of pooping and light trespassing by the owner to clean up.

Disrespect a young black male, or a young hispanic woman, a squatted pickup truck driving Florida country boy and see how that ends.

I really feel that people are using the peeing and pooping as fodder to really speak about neighbors being disrespectful.

This is just my opinion and I could be wrong. My wife thinks I'm smart, but usually wrong.

This is, obviously, a very popular and necessary service to those who wish to participate in the dialogue. Every time the subject comes up it gets huge response. If you do not want to participate then you are free not to click on. But, even you felt compelled to read some if not all the comments and post.
All of those huge number of responses are just a continued repetition from thread to thread. Don’t believe ,read the last three threads, with over 100 posts.

That also goes for the pet person that lets their dog crap in someone else's yard.

Mr. dewilson - don't cut the area of your grass you say it's not property and see what happens to you.

You can say the same about "Golf threads", repeat and repeat the same old golfing comments.

This subject has been talked about at least a dozen times. Some people pick up the mess, some people don’t, some dog owners are able to have their dog do their business on their own properties, some dogs are walked and go on others properties . I have a cocker spaniel that needs to walk the block before she goes to the bathroom, and I carry bags and put it under her bottom when she does her business so no mess at all ever goes on my neighbors lawns. If one has a dog, this can be done easily and everyone will be happy.
