Our dogs have never been allowed to use someone else’s lawn. We walk with a 2 foot lead, on the road, in the summer booties for their feet.

Why Do We Not allow them on someone else’s lawn? Proper training for one, and……..

I Don’t Know What Is On Your Lawn, Chemicals, animal pellets, a liquid that could cause harm to their paws, or other dogs waste. Dog parks have always been a no. When I run at 3am they are right by my side with a 2’ lead.

You're confusing grass with snow...

My dog pees on my grass, multiple times a day. No "yellow stains" to be found...

At the average age of villagers be glad it's only the dog going poo on your lawn.

Treelawns? I have never heard that term. See even in a dog poop thread one can learn something.

Replace the word DOG and I would still believe this statement.

To your point, I was spreading fertilizer with weed killer a couple of weeks ago and a neighbor was letting their dog go in my yard (with me watching), and I continued to push the spreader down the side where the dog and owner were standing.

I got closer and closer and the neighbor didn't pull the dog away or move from the curbing. In that instant, I thought I would see just how long he would stay there. I kept approaching and eventually was ejecting pellets on the neighbor and dog. I felt bad for doing it, but it was incredulous that the neighbor had asserted his priority to my yard.

We both made quick small talk and ackwardly went our separate ways (me, staying in my yard, and him, moving on with his dog).

I would never allow my dog into a yard that is being treated by an individual or a contractor service.

The whole incident was weird and I felt the worse for being part of it.

Correct, the OP did say his yard, so why do you continue to say it might not be his yard!
If you walk out your front door, don't you think the grass in front of you is your yard, wake-up!
You're a dog owner, and you are proving it....

That's because "Dog Pee" can not kill weed...

I can't talk to Putin, but I can talk to my neighbor. And, should it escalate out of control, there is always the court system, if one choses to abide by law. If not, well, "paybacks are hell". I prefer to speak with my neighbors.
Do have control. Just a matter of how bad you want to exercise it.

Who cuts the grass doesn't matter. You are trying to deflect from the issue of trespassing, disrespecting your neighbor and dumping your sewage on their lawn. YOUR dog. YOUR sewage. Keep off other people's lawns! Easy peasy to be a good neighbor and respectful, responsible pet owner.

Overly picky?? Seems like your being overly, intentionally obtuse. Your dog can only go where you let it. Keep off any property you don't own. Be a good, respectful and responsible pet owner and neighbor.

Those of us who are here from Northern climes may say "we have sidewalks and treelawns (parkways) up North as dog poop venues". But here in The Villages, each home's property extends to the street. How to handle this?

Not sure, since owners can't post signs. But, I will be more conscious as to a) finding a non-built corner lot and b) be on the watch for trigger-happy sprinkler operators....thx for the heads-up!
Thank you for your consideration. Where I grew up the only option was the gutter/street. Here, many folks use the common areas. Not , but the "official" dog parks are few, unfortunately.
