Default Neighborhood Activities

Here is a list of neighborhood activities. Can you add any other ideas that would work for a neighborhood group?

Pot Luck Dinners
Poker Run
Scavenger Hunt
Bocci Golf
Sunset Party
Cocktail Party
Thanksgiving Dinner
Holiday Party
International Dinner
Everybody’s Birthday Party
A Night with Entertainment
Movies under the stars
Game Night
Casino Night
Monthly Social Night

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Our neighborhood has a golf scramble once a month with dinner afterwards. They do the pairings by individuals instead of by couples, that way if the spouse doesn't play golf individuals can still participate. The entire neighborhood gets together afterwards to go to dinner (even if not golfing).

Driveway parties about once a month also. Everyone brings a dish to pass and a chair and the host provides the hot dogs.

Sometimes neighborhoods go on holiday lights tours in their golf carts.

In our neighborhood I organize a monthly "Chick Flick" and then we all go to lunch after the movie. We've been doing this now for 3 years. Also, when it is in season, we do the fashion show/luncheons at the Cattle Baron Club. The men have golf tournaments that run in 6 week segments followed by a couples awards dinner. There is also different card clubs such as poker, pinochle, hand & foot. Then there's dominoes and mah jong days. Add to the original list by Jerseyvillager and no wonder nobody can reach us on the phone!

We played toilet paper bowling on a Bocce court. Used water bottles as pins. Too funny.

Progressive dinners would be great for a neighborhood or Village. For those not familiar with a progressive dinner, you eat each course at a different house. For example, you have soup at one house, salad at another, main course at another --- you get the point. It means less work for each "host/hostess". We did this with family for years.
