Default Convert Record Album to MP3 File

I have two 33 1/3 double-sided album records of my deceased parent's 1958 wedding ceremony that I would like to convert to MP3 files, but I don't want to send them away to a service. Let me know if you would be able to help me do this. Thank you.

There is a local company that does video tapes and films to various computer files, they may also do records. I have a suitable record player, but I no longer have the audio to MP3 converter, and the audio input to the computer is not suitable for the record player. If you do not get any suitable local companies, Amazon among others sell record players with built in MP3 conversion, I think around $100.

I "ripped" my entire vinyl collection to MP3 about 10 years ago, using an "Artcessories USB PhonoPlus" gadget I bought on Amazon, plus "Spin it Again" freeware I downloaded from Cnet. There are similar gadgets still available that convert phono output to digital USB that your computer understands, but it looks like they're more pricey these days -- about $100.

The trick is getting the sound level high enough to pick up the full range of frequency response without introducing distortion. It was a mystery to me at the time why they didn't give you an option to automatically detect the levels and set them correctly. Maybe that's been fixed by now. It wouldn't be as critical with mostly speaking content like a wedding.

But it's probably not worth the trouble it for two albums. Maybe there is a service, but I just checked Legacy Box and they only do cassette tape.
