Default New 7-11 at Magnolia Plaza

A gentlemen just posted that he looked at the pumps and found no sign of golf cart gas. I hope this is not true. Thoughts?

Haven't moved to TV yet. Do golf carts take special gas?

1. "Regular" gas works fine for my cart
2. Rather than looking at the pumps or asking here, step inside and ask the attendant
3. There have been several threads with information on where to find non-ethanol gas in the Villages if you really want that

Which manufacturer is that? My 2019 Yamaha doesn't require non-ethanol.

I wouldn’t swear to it, but I think the newer EFI cars don’t require non-ethanol gas. I really don’t care since I own 2 electric cars.

From the Villages Golf Cart website:

How does Ethanol affect my Golf Car?
Ethanol attracts and absorbs water from the air and can lead to rust and contamination in your engine. If ethanol gas sits for a period of time, it can separate (gas from water) and cause the engine to suck up water instead of fuel, leading to serious engine damage.

You put it in your automobile every time you fill up, what’s the difference?

They don't manufacture golf carts, they sell golf carts... and non-ethanol gas.

There is probably one or two pumps with non ethanol.
The 7-11 by brownwood has at least 1 - it is marked non ethanol.

Did your ‘friend” check all the pumps or just 1 or 2.

Our 2017 Yamaha Quietech specifies E10 gas, the same as what is used in your car. We have been using this since we bought the cart with no problems.

Our 2018 Yamaha takes up to 10% ethanol and 87 octane per the owners manual. I just use the normal 87 octane and no problems. Golf cart gas is just a higher octane non ethanol gas. If you don't use your cart for 3 to 4 months you may want to use that in the tank before you park it.

The myth continues. Only should prefer non ethanol if you don’t drive cart on a regular basis

I have always just used regular gas in my cart. Doesn’t the golf cart store have gas, I know the others do.
