Hi all. I am new at this TOTV, and haven't posted much, but have been reading all your posts and I am finding out lots of good useful information. Thank you all... We will be meeting with the design center May 21 to start construction of our house in Sanibel right next to the pool. We will be renting it for a couple years until our retirement here in NY. I am looking for some advice as to how to go about renting. Has anyone used Realty Executives? I've heard good things about TheVillages4rent.com. In fact, I rented 2 homes through that website that went very well. Just not sure how it will work long distance, being the landlord. Do I need someone to take care of everything for me, such as an agency like Realty Executives, or is it easy enough to do ourselves with TheVillages4rent from NY... Both houses we rented from that website, the owners live in The Villages, so they can be there to check on their homes. I will need someone to homewatch. Thank you for your great posts, it is really fun reading. Hope to meet many of you when we are full time Villagers, or as you say 'frogs'...

Use thevillages4rent, have a home watch person, and live 19 hours away. Only time I had a problem was when I used an agency.
