So far this is least busy COSTCO, I have ever seen. The Dallas area COSTCO are MAD HOUSES year round. Maybe when the snowbird get back it picks up...

So much for all the North Villages traffic debacle doom-n-gloomers. Kinda same as those acid rain, greenhouse gas, ozone layer, etc. etc. folks.

Costco must have known what they were doing by not putting a store in The Villages area. Sounds like the business just isn't there.

Sorry you're confused. The new Costco is in The Villages area and people begged for it forever and Costco dragged their feet for a long time to build a store here. Maybe now we're seeing the reason why.

Maybe they should have consulted you before they invested multi million dollars in this area.

Maybe.. at least I'm not confused. IF one reads through the posts, one can determine the gist of the conversation. This Costco isn't nearly as busy as others. Traffic is low and store isn't full of people this being the reason for my evaluation.

Not true! We were there on a Saturday a couple weeks ago around 2-3 and we could barely get through the crowds to the food counter (we stopped mainly just for lunch since we were in our cart and live an hour by cart south of there), and were lucky to have a table open up so we could sit. We chose not to get a couple of items in the store because it was shoulder to shoulder people everywhere. Even the line to buy a new membership outside the entrance doors was as long as it was on opening day. It was crazy! They definitely knew what they were doing by opening one there.

Disappointed in the rotisserie chicken. Overcooked with a kind of strange taste. Packaging in Sams but better than the plastic bag costco uses.

Also surprised did not have different flavors of coffee flavorings.

Will be back and expect to be a regular customer.
They used to have containers with lids for the rotisserie chicken, but changed to bags recently. Agree they’re not great. We rarely get one because it’s pumped full of additives and chemicals.

My loudest thought was-- "You need a bigger freezer!". Most of these items will not fit anywhere.
We bought a small upright freezer from Costco online last year for our garage. It was $399 delivered. It’s nothing fancy and isn’t an automatic defrost, but we love that it’s all drawers, not shelves, so easy organization. Our garage has AC so the freezer isn’t dealing with a hot room so it runs efficiently.

And now we have the rest of the story, thank you! I know for Costco to be successful they need that kind of crowd daily. Let's hope the seasonal residence show up and help support it.

There was a lot of young families there from surrounding apartments and single family neighborhoods. I’m guessing a lot of seniors go early when it first opens, or that extra hour before opening that’s just for executive members. We have the executive membership but have never gone for the early hour because we aren’t morning people.

I got an executive membership too but will have to discover why pretty soon.

It sounds like, for some reason, you're hoping that the Costco here fails. Being a member for almost 40 years now, I love the way Costco does business (treasure hunt) with high quality products, at excellent prices as well as how they value their employees by paying a living wage with good benefits.

I mean really, who would begrudge an extremely successful company for that?
