Default New Custom Bedroom Closets in our Lantana Model

After buying our new home, one of our first requests on TOTV was to solicit ideas and vendors for custom closets. We bought the Lantana model which has a master closet with a lot of angles. We appreciated the collective responses and, in the end, decided to take our plans and measurements to The Container Store to have them make recommendations and then design and install all of our bedroom closets.

Some of the things we like about the Container Store Elfa closet products are that the only attached part to your wall is a bracket bar across the top, all the primary closet parts are metal based, that it is totally adjustable, there are lots of hardware options (some of which can even be added later), and you can have decorative (wood looking) finishes.

We were lucky to have a Container Store close by to our home in GA. Since they are a national firm, we initially did the design and parts order in person in GA and they sent the final order and instructions to their store and installers in Orlando. (They also have a terrific website and you can design your own closets there. Due to our "many angles", we wanted the more personalized attention.) If you are handy in this area, you can also DIY the installation.

They give you an overview, a wall by wall diagram, and dimensional diagram of each closet along with a total breakdown of parts with pricing. The installers arrived promptly, reviewed the plans, removed the old Rubbermaid closets, spackled and painted the holes, installed the new closets accordingly, made some last minute height adjustments I requested, cleaned up everything and placed all the trash in trash bags ready for curbside pick up.

We know that The Container Store does not have tons of locations, and some of you may be unfamiliar with their stores, so we are sharing pictures of our master and two guest bedroom closets. (They also have great products for garage organization too!)

We couldn't be happier with the results!

I am also in Collier and looking for closet help in our Lantana. Your photos/design give me an awesome idea of how to handle the awkwardness. Could we connect offline somehow? (I don't know how to get connected. Is there a private msg ability where we swap phone numbers?) Would love to talk in more detail. Thank you!
