Update: 1:08 PM ET: Launch time is now 3:10 PM, because of "clock management."

Look about due West. Should be easier to see than recent launches. Big rocket.

Thanks for update. We plan on watching. Whenever it happens, we hope it goes well. However, Musk shrugs his shoulders and says 50-50 chance of it blowing up. Hope not.

Update, 1:42 PM ET: After a full stop in the countdown, we're back with a 3:45 PM ET launch time.

Falcon, the size of a 20-story building, containing 27 engines and a cherry-red Tesla Roadster as its payload, is slated to lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It will be the maiden flight of Space X’s Falcon Heavy, the most powerful rocket to launch in 45 years, since NASA’s Saturn V, which last flew in 1973.

Musk still remembers this day back in September 2015. Very strange.

East, West? According to my calculations it should be about 120 degrees South East. Can anyone confirm that.

I thought maybe you were treating it like a solar eclipse; not wanting to look straight at it

Spectacular! We watched on both faceBook and the end of our driveway. Just watched two of three boosters return safely.
