Maybe it already exists, but I personally would love to see a series of satellite photos that defines the expansion, of say the last 15 years...on a yearly basis.
Go to the Sumter County property appraiser website and you can choose individual years for the aerial photography that to use and you can see the changes that way.

Good idea, but I was thinking of something that took a little less effort...like being able to use my finger to click on a link.

Taking a nice golf cart ride...is doable.

Thanks for the tip.

You can also use the Google Maps timeline function and scroll through the years of aerial photography that way. I haven't done it in a while it is still available I just don't remember how to get to it.

I think you are being lazy. If you look at the maps of the new areas that were provided in the Daily Sun, you can tell exactly where his drone was flying.

I just got back from a weeks trip to Colorado so I should have the next video out tomorrow evening, a flyover of the area between Brownwood and the Turnpike. This should be similar as to what TwoPlaneKid did 2 weeks ago but at a lower altitude and obviously 2 weeks later.

Has anyone else noticed from published maps that the golf cart path that will cross near Rohan will be on the east side of 468. No way to get to Fenney from that bridge.

Or, no way to get from Fenny to Rohan.

If you put the few pieces of information together that have been published or made available through government web sites you'll see the outline of a MMP going from Rohan, across a bridge, and following CR468 down to the Turnpike area. From there it will pass under CR468 where you can go north to the bridge to be built over the Turnpike or south down to the "Bailey Bridge" which will likely be turned into a golf cart bridge.

Interestingly, the second bridge that was built over the Turnpike (north bridge) is much wider than required for cars and the detailed drawings that have been made available are very light on details for this area. It would appear that there may be sufficient space on the bridge for a golf cart lane(s) at CR468. It's not unusual for construction drawings to not include specific details, the drawing for the Monarch Grove area only showed a gap in the housing areas and a dead end street until the most recent 5600 acre purchase was announced, now all new drawings are showing that dead end road continuing south through the gap that was present.

If I was a gambler I would bet on 4 turnpike crossings - the new bridge, CR468, Bailey Bridge, and CR470. This would provide the necessary bandwidth and accessibility between sections of The Villages without having to drive more than about 2-3 miles out of the way, similar to what we have now at CR466, 466A, and soon to have a SR44.
