Default Well, Easter week is here

That means that some well meaning Grandparents are going allow their minor grandchildren to drive golf carts in traffic. The warnings against it have been loud and clear. The messages will be to no avail with some.

Let's all pray that nobody is injured as the result of an accident while these little children are driving grown up vehicles.

Can you imagine the horror of the Grandparent who would be responsible for injury, or worst, to those precious little babies.

Try this....."......sorry honey, but it's against the law and it's dangerous you'll have to wait until you're a little older."

Thanks Tal,

Good reference, it would really be helpful if people would read and heed the advice! Unfortunately it is just a matter of time before someone is seriously injured as a result of a child driving a golf cart in TV.

Teenager, hat on backwards, flying around a curve going wide open just missed my car when I was pulling out of my garage. We live in the villas and the speed limit in the villas is 10mph.Before you turn your" precious babies" loose without a license in a motor vehicle that can serious injurys or death(maybe theirs)at least make sure they know the rules. This is not a spring break resort or a playground. If its your cart you'll pay the price for their fun.

While I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with all of you....I will say that I have also experienced adults of all ages driving this way too....

Let's hope for everyone's safety that all drivers stay safe!

Default Does Age Really Matter?

Was driving my car up Morse Sunday afternoon, and got to the traffic circle just before 466. A not-too-youthful lady (she was definitely not a teenager) was entering the roundabout on Morse Ave from the little dead end on the right (you have to go off the GC path and thru the grass to get there), crossed in front of me, and was waiting for the southbound traffic to pass so she could go wherever the heck she was going. A teenager would likely have had the sense to stay off the road.
Just like everyone else, if Florida permits them to drive the GC (is it 16 years old?), they can drive. Don't forget many 16 year olds are out in their cars too, and even greater potential for problems.
For some grandparent to let them out in a GC alone under the legal age limit is a crime!
