Default New here! With a question for Begonia/Gardenia owners

Hi Neighbors! My husband and I are excited to be moving to Hillsborough at the end of this month. I have already gathered lists of recommended contractors from your postings...and have started to become educated on issues related to insurance, taxes, amenities, facilities, etc...Thank you.

I searched, but have been unable to find information about specific measurements in the Begonia/Gardenia guest room. I am not in The Villages at present, but would like to be prepared to purchase furniture when I visit next week.

The floorplan lists the guest room as 11' by 10'11". Might someone tell me the measurement of the small wall between the doorway and the closet?
Also, the wall across from the door has an angle on the right side...can you tell me what the wall length is without the angled portion? I am hoping to put a queen bed and small nightstand on that wall, and am wondering if it will fit.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
We cannot wait to arrive!!

Arrow All Building Plans available online

All Building Plans available online.

If you know the address, you can get the floor plans, and a lot of other permit related drawings/inspections.

try the following link: "https://etrakit.sumtercountyfl.gov/eTRAKiT3/Search/permit.aspx"

If you have trouble just send me a Private Message, and I can help you.

BTW - I have a Begonia

You can also get a complete set of plans from Sumter County, just call and they will email the pdf versions. For our Gardenia, this was 16 pages.

Thanks for the measurement. Would a nightstand fit next to the queen?

My cousin has a Gardenia (no stretch) and has a queen size bed in that room. What she did was buy 2 small nightstand height tables from Pier One that allowed her to put one on each side of the bed with a lamp on each. I'm sure that one nightstand would fit, but maybe not 2, since standard nightstands tend to be wider and bulkier than the tables that she purchased. Hopefully others will chime in with their experience.

Welcome to TV and TOTV, and congratulations on your new home! The Gardenia is beautiful model!

I would have included measurements, but ours has 3 stretches, so I may have given you incorrect information. The plans are quite detailed, and have the exact measurements, as well as other information, including lot information, setbacks, and building limits.

Enjoy TV, it is the greatest!

We have a queen with a nightstand (one). We did select a nightstand that wasn't too large.
