Default sumter landing web site

Hi again to all, Does anyone know if Sumter has a site where I can get info abt. the cottages? I'm thinking staying there on my visit since the shuttle stops there and I won't have a car. I thought I wanted to stay at a Patio Villa but since they can't confirm what village it will be in I couldn't picture myself walking, dragging my luggage to God knows where... :dontknow: or hitchhiking? I know all of you are such friendy people that someone would probably pick me up right... ??? LOL Darlene

darlene, i don't think there is a web site that would answer your questions about the cottages but the villages does have a taxi service and sumter county runs a bus route thru the villages stopping at many of our neighborhood postal stations.

Darlene, What I would do is call ahead and rent a golf cart. You would have a great time driving around.

Darlene, When you take the airport shuttle, the driver will ask if anyone needs a cab. He calls ahead to the dispatcher and cabs are waiting when the shuttle arrives either in SS or LSL. Although you can easily walk from the bus station to the cottages, it assumes that you know where you're going, and of course even with wheels, you've got to drag the luggage. So a cab would be helpful for this first-time visit. The cottages are so nicely decorated and in a great location. My guess when the cottages are finally put up for sale, they'll go for 750K or more. Since a cottage easily sleeps three couples, are you bringing friends and family with you?

Dar....what is your plan for local transportation? if not a golf cart, then you might have been better off renting a car at the airport. Or renting from Enterprise when you get here...."they'll pick you up" according to their slogan.
