We were in TV for a while this month............and our AT&T reception was no better (or worse) than it ever has been. So I'd surmise that their new towers aren't online yet.

The latest target date I've seen noted was the end of Q3 this year:

http://www.poa4us.org/bulletins_file...etin201202.pdf See article beginning on p.7.

Keeping our fingers crossed.....in spite of AT&T's track record of promising but not delivering on improving their coverage in the area.

Default ATT Towers

Your proximity to CR 472 has a great deal to do with service.

I moved from 472 and att worked well.

Moving 6 blocks north had an adverse effect on capability.

While I can still make phone calls -the other features -safari etc. are no longer available.

I worked for AT&T for 30 years, back in the day.
Unfortunately, the improvements are always just around the corner.

Verizon is your bet, to be honest.

I got tired of dropped calls, no signal, and promises. I switched to Verizon and am happy.

AT&T offers a mini cell tower for your house. It's usually $300 and are selling it to Villagers for $50. I called AT$T and they gAve us a $50 credit on our bill so it cost nothing. our reception is absolutely perfect. Also, they told us the new towers will be ready in September.

We switched from AT&T to Verizon because we just didn't have good service here in Sanibel. We've been very happy with Verizon's service.
