Default Internet questions??

I notice a recent thread concerning high speed internet cost. I am going to be renting for three months (I know, not another dreaded snowbird) and plan on getting internet and the golf access but it is just just dial up. Is it possible for a renter to get high speed (at an additional cost I know) even if they are renting for three months? Just getting some of 'my ducks in a row' before I head down to TV in a couple of weeks.
thanks

You beat me to the Punch Doug as I was going to ask the same question. Can we get internet hook-up for in my case 3 months. The house I am renting for Jan, Feb, and March has hookup in house but no service. I was going to check to see if I could get it for the 3 months. Hopefully someone has the answer now.

No such luck. I am going to be renting in Chatham near the Nancy Lopez golf course. Is it possible to get high speed for just three months? Guess I will have to phone the comcast number provided above.
Thanks

Comcast offers a good deal to new users, I think it is around $23 per month (and probably admin charges for the hook-up and cancellation). I'm sure they'd be delighted to hook you up.

The Library on Parr Drive just south of 466 at Belvedere offers internet access for free. About 15 minutes south of Chatham.

Did you ever consider a broadband card. They work great and you can take it wherever you go. Although I have cable and internet in my villa I use it in my laptop anywhere i go. Both Vweizon and Att offer similar packages. No need to look for wi fi zones

Trav, Are the broadband cards expensive? Is it possible to get unlimited use?

I have a SPRINT Broadband card. The cost is approximately $60.00/month with no restrictions. I know AT&T and Verizon offer similar programs. In some cases you need to purchase the card (I think it's around $80 - $100.), but in other csaes the card is free with a two year service contract.
