Default Christmas Lights, A Must See

Check out the Christmas lights on Dunkirk Trail off Odell Circle just one street east of the Hadley pool. New this year are about four more homes have been added and it is something to see.

Enjoy the show and I think the lights go on at 6:00 pm and are truned off at 9:00 pm.

Do remember to bring some things for the food pantry. At least one of the houses (the one who started it all) collects for it and leaves a box out for donations.

Yes I am in TV and just happen to be up your way yesterday at about sunset. I drove through "the Hood" to check out the woozier and it looks massive. The pool in the back looks to be bigger than some neighborhood pools. I really like the house on the golf course with the three car garage AND golf cart garage. How that is what everyone needs to store there toys. But I sure would not have wanted to pay the premium lot fees for that plot of land.

Now where are all those people that need help with their Garmins and computers.

I may give it a try but I did not bring my tripod and have never taken night photos of blinking lights so it will be something new. The one thing good about a digital camera is if the picture does not come out in good quality you just delete it.

Stay tuned.

HOLY CROW! WHAT A SHOW!!! We drove by there earlier this evening expecting to see three houses all done up. What a surprise to see at least a dozen homes all lit up, most consecutively and with lights show coordinated. This is a must see! Here is the location on a google map showing the GPS location, or I think it is the GPS location.

Does anyone else have suggestions for streets with good Christmas lights? For us newbies who don't have the local knowledge. It would be fun to take and evening and drive around looking at lights.

There should be a listing coming up sometime soon in the Sun.

bkcunningham1 posted a link to this in another recent thread related to Xmas light displays. It notes various locations from the 2011 holiday season.........but many of these larger displays do it every year:

I was deleting some pictures from my phone and came across these two. One thing is very clear (and it is not the pictures), I have no idea how to take good pictures with my phone .

This picture shows Dunkirk Trail. If you squint a bit, play some Christmas music and visualize all of the lights are flashing different colors in time with the music, it is like you are there.

The Villages Florida

This second picture reminds me a bit of things I saw back in college, but those stories are better left off public forums. I actually have no idea how I took this. Was likely trying to make a phone call at the time....

Default Christmas Lights Suggestion

In the Village of Mallory Sq, Troy Loop (off of Timmonsville Way near Stillwater) there is a very well coordinated display or maybe 20 homes. Well worth seeing if you're in the area.

. I agree the "show" on Dunkirk is worth the effort to see. I hope they keep them up until we return from Illinois on the 27th. They were great last year and sounds like more were added. It's good to see such Christmas Spirit in TV.
