Default Economical extra car parking options?

Greetings neighbors. We are new to The Villages and have a full garage; one car and two golf carts. We are not quite ready to let go of the other car and looking for places to park until we see if we can do without. Don't want to break the bank. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

That's what we will be doing AND we will be covering the roof and glass with a sun block cover to keep the harsh sun from drying up the rubber gaskets and air frying the leather. .

Hmm air frying the leather huh. If you add garlic and some pepper how would it taste? Asking for a friend

I assume you mean you have the second car outside? Try ride share (Uber/Lyft) for the second vehicle when needed and get rid of the other car? It would be cheaper in the long run than keeping insurance and such on the second car? Me and the wife have been able to share the one car and golf cart we have it just takes some scheduling when needed. If you need a place to park the car offsite does that not defeat the purpose of that car?

Maybe this thread should read, "I need help letting go of unnecessary stuff."

Don't we all?

No matter how much stuff we got rid of before we moved still took and paid for way to much stuff we have no need of.

Parking in your driveway is perfectly fine in the Villages. Some neighbors may not like it, but it is not against deed restrictions. Plenty of neighbors in our area park in their driveway. Most of us have no problem with it. Keep it clean, registered, and operable. No commercial vehicles allowed.

Some in CYV brick in their front and side front yards and use whole front yard as parking lot. I find that unusual the deed restrictions allows majority of front yard bricked in and used as parking lot. But, at least not on street like majority of others cause they can’t get car in garage due to all the junk stored in garages.

You could replace one or both of the golf carts with an electric bike. Electric bikes consume drastically less garage space. You could even park the electric bikes outside of the garage if you can lock them up. They have long range electric bikes, and even electric tricycles for adults who can’t balance on a two wheel electric bike. Although the three wheel electric bikes take up more storage space than a two wheel electric bikes.

There are vehicle movers that are made by Carousel USA if you have a garage with an extra storage area. You drive onto the car mover, and then the car mover moves your car to the left or right. They also have carousel car movers that turn your car around, for people that are poor at backing up their car. I’ve also seen car movers that move the car vertically in high garages, where you can essentially stack two cars above each other. But when you’re moving cars with that type of equipment, you might have extra hassles stacking or moving cars around to use the car that can’t immediately be accessed without the car moving mechanism.
