We have 3 pools in Fenney, the Blue Heron adult pool, the Fenney Rec. center family pool, and the the sports pool just off Spanish Moss near the Pickle Ball courts. I rarely go to any of them but they are here for those that frequent pools.

You do know Savannah pool is a Sports Pool..... and has no pool furniture. Sports pools also have schedules for when different activities take place.

The La Hacienda pool is a sports pool that is across the street from the La Hacienda Regional Rec Center. It is near Spanish Springs and close to where one turns to get to the bridge that leads to the Historic Side. |

Sure, lots of pools in TV, just not SWIMMING pools. Good luck finding roped lap lanes at the sport pools, volleyball and classes all day, unless you are willing to swim at zero-dark-thirty.

This thread reminds me of why I'm grateful to live in the Historic section of The Villages.

You are singing my tune, there are lots of sports pools in the Villages that could be great lap swimming pools. Unfortunately, times for actual lap swimming are typically only very early in the morning or very late in the evening. The rest of the day the pools are reserved for all kinds of other stuff. Lap swimmers would like some time carved out from mid morning to mid afternoon but don't get it except for Sunday when all the other activities seem to take their one day a week off. And the late evening hours available for lap swimming are worthless in the winter when it gets dark right after the lap swimming time starts. To make matters worse, the sports pool policy is that they are open until dusk, which is by definition 1/2 hour after sunset. However, the pool staff is typically trying to make everyone get out of the pool at sunset, taking away a half hour of already very limited lap swimming time. Apparently lap swimmers are a very low priority for the staff that manages the sports pools.

Now there's another new on one me. I had no idea all villages did not have a mail center. Is it because villages without a mail center are very small?
