Portable unit we purchased is not helping much at all. No answers and nowhere to go from here. Beyond the point of screaming!
Last year, we experienced an AC outage that lasted 3 weeks. I asked the contractor for a portable AC unit. Claimed my bride had a respiratory disease. They provided a unit that ducted out a window. It was capable of cooling 1-2 rooms. While a pain in the butt, I moved the unit from room to room in order to cut down the growth of mold. In the end, we had some relief and no mold. Hope your contractor can help in this manner.

Did you read the post?? It's a parts problem. Munns can come out but without the part, what can they do.

I would call other large a/c contractors here, some of them may stock parts
You should ask the manufacturer, too take the part out of a new unit

Ask them to rob the part out of a new unit and satisfy the need and customer! Or buy a New unit!

If you call Munn's HVAC, the won't come out for a service call? They don't have the necessary part? They're a big company.

Call Marc Antony AC. They didn’t let us go at all without ac. Others told us a month to get the ac. They had it in less than a week. When ac finally died they were here within the hour to temporarily fix our unit until they could install the new one. Can’t imagine what you’re going through not to mention what it’s doing to your house. It can’t hurt to at least call them.

I was told like two months to get new AC unit once it’s order. They should have new ones on hand and ready to input.

We just came back from a trip to find our AC knot working. Munn’s came out and found the motor wa bad and would have to be ordered and would be a week. He tried to install a temporary motor and spent four hours working on it and the replacement would not work. We were lucky they received a shipment of our required motor so he was able to fix it. No problem with Munn’s

The downside is that in Fl when your AC goes out in the summer time the shops know they can try to charge you just about anything since we all NEED to be cool during the summer. You might want to just get it repaired and then follow up with warranty to see if there are any ways to get reimbursed (but make sure you read all your docs to make sure).
Good luck and try to stay cool

All air conditioners operate in the same way and parts from another unit, even a used one or one by a different manufacturer can be adapted for a temporary repair. We had the same problem with the parts chain when the motor in our air conditioner failed in March. Superior Air "borrowed" the motor from another unit it had in stock and installed it as a temporary fix until the new motor from the factory arrived.

The "borrowed" motor could not be the permanent fix as the manufacturer insists that the replacement motor come directly from the factory as it records the serial number for warranty purposes.

A responsible company understand the problem and should be able to do this

Is the Air Conditioner shot or is the fan in the air conditioner just making a humming noise & the fan is not running?

Try encouraging your AC company to replace the entire unit until the “supply chain issue” is resolved.
