But throwing away perfectly good clothing/gear is basically cutting off your nose to spite your face. You already paid for it. You can't undo that.

I don't wear Nike or Adidas stuff because I'm not into sports-branded clothing. But I really don't give a flying furt if their advertisements have men, women, transgender, black, white, disabled, poor, wealthy, Muslim, Baptist, or whatever else. They want everyone to buy their stuff. And so, they're marketing to everyone.

Unless you feel that transgender people shouldn't be allowed to buy Nike and Adidas clothing? Because if that's the case, it sounds more like a "you" problem.

Nah, it really becomes “it’s” problem when a man, who now thinks he should be sporting boobs and a vagina, goes into the bathroom with my granddaughter; it won’t be pretty.

I am not threatening to go shopping with anyone to monitor what they buy. Also did you understand the “ while we are still a free country “ comment? Enjoy it while you can

What is a person who has cliteromegaly that mimics in all respects a small phallus? What is a person whose brain tells them beyond any shadow of a doubt they are a woman? You experts are so certain in your ignorance and intolerance. The genders are not as simple as you wish or your church may have taught you. It is very complex and the exceptions to your wrongheaded wisdom prove the fallacy of your beliefs.

Of course you would support forcing teachers not to teach the truth about gender identity because telling children the truth would threaten your so tightly held beliefs. There is every color of the rainbow in human expression and experience of sexuality and gender.

And any corporation that understands how the emerging picture of the complexity of gender must be boycotted. Cancel culture I believe is the term the thought police use on TV

The complexity is in the nature of what can go wrong, the possibilities of maladjustments , biological, phycological are of course endless. The reason for the genetic differences, male/female has been shown to offer great advantages as has been shown by many millions of years of evolution, and clearly those differences have a profound, pervasive effect that can not be wished away. It is not hate or intolerance to state a fact

Andyb 04-17-2022 07:24 AM

Thank you! If everyone would do this, we could send a strong message. I’ll add Adidias to my extensive boycott list.

Windguy 04-17-2022 07:39 AM

Ah, yes, The Villages: Florida’s Most Tolerant Home Town.

So much hate…

Pretty soon I will be barefoot

Get over yourself and stop trying to live in the 50's. The world and society has changed for the better. Everyone can't and should look and think like you!

If you don't care that real women now have to compete against against men and they were born and are men you are part of the problem. It is unfair and wrong in every sense.

Why is a disagreement over a fundamental fact that biological males and females are different make us haters?

The discussion in this thread seems to be coming from several different angles including a call to cancel a company and an outright threat against someone who is different. Regrettably (though not unexpectedly) some of the discussion is most definitely intolerant and hateful.

Pretty soon I will be barefoot

So you're fearful of transgender people. What did they ever do to you?

May you be blessed with a transgender grandchild.

Your money is "support". If you give money to support Adidas, you support transgender competition. I really iS that simple. A free county? Of course. But do you really want men competing as women?

Is it a problem when a woman sporting a ***** uses the men's room with you? And if it s why are you looking?

I wish more of the bigots had profile photos like you. At least I know one person to avoid when I see them. For the others I'll just look for the knives and pitchforks.

Your premise in false. I buy Adidas sneakers and golf shoes because they fit me well...

Same with Brooks running shoes.

I find Nike shoes to be tighter in the toe box, aggravating my Morton's Neuroma...

I do not support Lia Thomas, nor do I support Fallon Fox competing against biological women...

Unlike some, I can separate the issues...

Hmm, there is a grammatical error but I'm not sure we would agree on the word that needs to be changed to make the statement correct.

The fact that you think they are marketing to "everyone" is adorable...

And your last paragraph is a nice "red herring"...

Well, since most sports get their revenue from ticket sales and TV revenue, when women's sports garner the same income generation, they will deserve the same pay...

Although I do agree that the salaries of pro-athletes has gotten ridiculous...

what a shame we even care

Most reading this forum will be dead sooner than latter. We moved to the T.V. for the active life style and positive thinking. Thousands of clubs and the best we can do is complain about a commercial from a tennis shoe company because they support Transgender woman . How pathetic , embarrassing and sad and by the way unless you are Transgender or really know some one who is I thinks its wise to keep hurtful comments to your self.

Get a grip

So you move down to The Villages, a haven of fun, friendship, peace, and goodwill. And then you get worked up into a froth over an issue that does not affect you or the vast majority of Americans in the least. Why don't you spend a large amount of your time volunteering to help the poor who live all around your area, instead of sitting around getting ****ed off at everything?
