Stonecrest would simply like what was advertised when you buy a house here.

Without a sign posted people entering duke energy property who are not invitees are then classified as trespassers. An invitee is a customer, a supplier, etc if you have no business there then you are trespassing. the posting of the sign only solidifies that fact and in event of a lawsuit closes that questionable gap.

One poster made mention of the roads in TV as being public and hence cart paths also. what he was referring do was the diamond lanes that run parallel to the public roads. The multi-modal paths are private however. Again I say the bone of contention on this issue is simply a matter of geography. Everyone has access to the commercial districts public squares restaurants shops ,etc. However the difference of opinion is directed at the individual districts 1-11 + and the cart paths used as access.

We each make our economic choices. Some are pleased some have buyers remorse but others shouldn't have to suffer because of others poor or not well reasoned decisions. Its called life

The path is north of the historic side, between ALDI and Walmart. The path is used daily by about 200 carts, mostly of which are TV residents going to Walmart, $Tree and other businesses including restaurants, auto parts store, Humana, doctors offices etc, located on the west side of 441. All accessed by using this path as only one piece of their daily route. Spruce Creek and Stonecrest residents get to Aldi, Lowes, Doctor offices etc, located South of this path. Hopefully, the signs were posted as a C.Y.A. for Duke.

"other businesses including restaurants, auto parts store, Humana, doctors offices etc, located on the west side of 441."

How do you get west of 441?

chuckinca 08-20-2016 03:55 PM

Walmart, $Tree and other businesses including restaurants, auto parts store, Humana, doctors offices etc, located on the west side of 441.

These places are all on the NorthEAST side of 441/27 -
(There are restaurants and doctor offices on both sides of the road but only the ones on he east side are cart accessible.)

The poster made a minor direction error.

Thanks. It's news to me, I did not realize there were more stores past the dollar store! I thought that other path went to that other development stonesomething

chuckinca 08-20-2016 04:23 PM

There is a cart path between Walmart and the Dollar Store that goes to a Stonecrest residents cart gate.

There is a road mainly owned by the Stonecrest developer between the Dollar Store and the Murphy (Walmart) gas station the goes parallel to 441 for about a half mile that has many businesses on it. At one intersection with a stop light on 441 residents of Spruce Creek South have obtained State, Marion County and Stonecrest permission to cross 441 in carts and use the road to get to Walmart etc.

Can villagers access that area and cross 441?

So hypothetically you say you are entering for golf, then you can access the other stores, auto parts etc and cross 441?

What is across 441?

Sorry for all the questions. ;) thank you

You can leave SCS, but would need to cross back at Mc Donalds, 441
Street legal, no problem.
There is no Auto Parts store on the west side.

Allegiance 08-20-2016 04:42 PM

With a non street legal cart is it possible for a villager to access the autoparts or cross 441?

Until Duke fences the Walmart path again, Yes.
The auto parts store is on the east side, no need to cross 441.

chuckinca 08-20-2016 05:11 PM

Spruce Creek South has a vehicle gate that accesses the stores on the west side of 441 by McDonalds, CVS, Sam St John, Office Depot, 441 Urgent Care, doctor offices, etc. There are designated parking spaces in that shopping area for carts but I haven't ever seen a cart in one.
