Not true. Further north you go the less nature and nature trails.

And significantly less golf courses south of 44...

Not true.
There are 6 villages that start with "Bridgeport"

Just like Osceola Hills at Soaring Eagle is a local neighborhood inside of Osceola Hills Village, which has both adult and family pools.

Not true.

So is there any Village north of 44 that has no adult pool?

See post #83

:ohdear:

Pages 52, 53, 54 in the "2022-2023 NEWCOMERS GUIDE" lists the names of all villages. :read:

Anyone else notice that some new villages do not have a neighborhood (adult only) pool? In the past, when a new village was started, the first thing built was the postal station and neighborhood pool. Has this become a thing of the past?

An example - we live in Santiago, we don't have an adult pool. The villages on each side of us (Alhambra and Santo Domingo) don't either. Glenbrook across from us doesn't. BelleAire, north of Glenbrook doesn't. Polo Ridge, south of Glenbrook..... no adult pool either.

We have only been here six years and I have never even heard of those villages. Are they in the olden areas north of 466?

Are there any villages south of 466 that do not have an adult pool? If not, then I think the OP has asked a reasonable question.

My friends who live in Laurel Valley consider it a Village.

 So do the people that built it and the government that it is part of. I'll listen to them and not some Ms. Information/Mr. Know-it-all.

See post #93 ;)

Exactly! That Village was closing out when we bought here 10 years ago. Our realtor asked if we would like to see a home in The Village of Bridgeport Laurel Valley.

Add Piedmont to the villages I listed in post #75 and you have 7 villages , all touching each other with no adult pool. I'm sure your agent knew that and didn't have to lie to sell to you. I know my agent and I didn't even discuss pools.

i specifically asked about the pools as that was an amenity that is important to me. I am referring to late 2008 when we first looked to purchase in The Villages so that is my frame of reference.

My first question when we looked at our house was, is there room for a pool? Until we put our pool in it was the only amenity I used.

That is not the way the earlier villages were constructed. It was a well known fact that all amenities would be completed before the first home was occupied in any given village. We all know "things" have changed since the younger generation of Morses are running the show.

Aren't we being told that the newer generation of home buyers in The Villages is not interested in golf. They are more interested in hiking and walking trails.

It would have been easier to just answer my two questions instead of giving me some snarky advice.

I think in addition to Linden, DeSoto, Marsh Bend, & McClure do not have neighborhood adult pools. I think they might be more aptly called 'area pools' like Swallowtail & Willowtree. Please correct me if necessary.
