Talking sales figures publix and sweetbay

The publix numbers are accurate, the sweetbay numbers I am just taking someone who says he is in the know. From nov 2nd thru nov 9th, publix 1,050,000. Sweeybay 230,000. I am sure some of that 230,000 would of been at publix if no sweetbay store but who knows.

Publix at colony and new sweetbay. I think the sweetbay in sumter landing is busier than the new one.

I worked at publix in colony from day 1, The sales at sweetbay are much higher than when publix first opened because there are a lot more houses around the new sweetbay. In may of 2007 when it opened there were hardly any houses in duval or Hadley. I just put those numbers out because some readers were interested in the difference between the two. Theres enough business for everyone and according the the latest hoa bulletin there will be more gas stations and grocery stores in the 466a corridor

Wait until Sweet Bay changes to be Winn Dixie in about January. That's when I'll quit going there because of their policy that sale prices are only for people that carry their stupid card with them. At Publix the sale price is for everyone.
I like Sweet Bay and especially their new store but don't wan't to have to carry their card around with me. I carry enough as it is.

Usually in stores that give out customer cards for discounts, if you forget your card, you just key in your phone number associated with the card. In WA state, we're we are from, most stores use the card membership program.

I used that stupid little cart at Mulberry Grove Shell today and paid $2.85 a gallon for gas. Also, if you don't have the card with you, you can use your phone number. If you don't even have a card, ask the cashier to swipe their card. They usually will do that.

I HATE WINN DIXIE'S BUY ONE GET ONE FREE SCAM. AN EXAMPLE OF THIS NONSENSE IS, BUY A 32 OZ JAR OF KOSHER DILL PICKLES AND GET ONE FREE. SAVE $4.99. Nowhere in my life have I ever seen a 32 oz jar of dill pickles that cost $4.99. Or buy a box of special K cereal and get one free, save $5.99. I am sure you get my drift.

We moved here in 2008. When we shopped Publix at Colony Plaza, there were so few customers that we worried that they might go out of business. Now we just hope to find a parking space.
