Default New Bakery Coming to Wildwood

There is a new bakery opening in Wildwood called Sweet Tables Bakery and Cafe. It's on Main St across from where the Farmer's Market used to be. Fresh bakery items, custom cakes made to order, breads, pastries, cafe, seating area. Opening planned for July 1. Should be awesome. This area needs an old fashioned bakery!

I'm thinking that Wildwood will be taking on a fresh new look because of The Villages!!! I tend to have a "cup half full" kind of thinking!

Disney was suppose to develop Wildwood but it was placed on hold because of the recession. Perhaps now it is gearing up again? Anyone have any news regarding this issue?

A true bakery would be so nice. There just don't seem to be any in Florida. Publix isn't bad but a true bakery would be amazing. Another good reason I'm moving in next week. LOL.

The location you're describing is the same location where Cotillion Southern Cafe,101 N Main St is/was located and it sounds like a similar service to Cotillions. Anybody know if it is or are they getting new competition?

This new place is 5 doors down. Cotillion has started going more wholesale and becoming a restaurant supplier so I think this new place will do well with the general public wanting fresh baked goods and custom cakes.

What in the world are you talking about? What was proposed to be done?

Default Yahala Bakery

Went to Yahala Bakery today and the lady behind the counter said that a new store would be opening in Summerfield in the future. Hope it's soon.

I predict Wildwood will become the fashion meca of Florida during our life time. I love little rural towns and I hope it does not become too large or a strip mall meca.

You can already drive into Wildwood providing it's a Street Legal one. I forget the streets/roads you take but they will take you right to the strip mall where the Ace Hardware is located. We've done this a handful of times. Always get "looks" from folks who think we're lost!!! One dude even yelled "get off the road"...he wasn't even on the same one!!! Won't be long, I predict, that one will see many golf-carts over there.
