Does anyone else keep their windows open considering
the gorgeous weather we have been having ? We do and have been watching the dirt and grit accumulate from the dust generated from this project. The lanai is filthy, the cars are filthy, the backyard grill is filthy. etc.
Why isn't the contractor required to have water trucks on site to keep the dust down ? We live 3/4 of mile away from the project and I feel sorry for the folks adjacent to it.

They are using water trucks to try and mitigate the dust, but its nearly impossible to keep up. The wind we've had over the last month is not helping. I call it growing pains, much like when you move into a new Village still being built, or when a neighbor has a paver driveway built, or a pool, etc. We put up with it and hope it gets built as quickly as possible.

I believe you will find that the contractor is not using water to mitigate the dust, but rather to help compaction of the soil. Don't worry though, the developer said that it would only take a year for the INFRASTRUCTURE to be completed. Then they will get started on the buildings.

I can only go by what I have personally observed during my many trips past the site, in addition to what was reported in the online news which quoted a person from DPM saying the builder is using water trucks to try and battle the dust. Bottom line, its growing pains. Hopefully those affected and complaining about the noise and dust will never use any of the stores they are building.

It is growing pains. When the building of homes, golf courses, and businesses started south of 466A a few years ago, there was a tremendous amount of dust blowing north more times than not. Residents nearby had to cope with the dust and dirt, it's just one of those things. The end result will probably be something that folks living nearby will appreciate and make use of.

Had the same problem ours was the one of the first houses built on our street it was dirt and dust for over a year and that it was done
