Now that all the generators, fuel jugs, and plywood had been sold:
All Floridians should evacuate. Can you fathom the sales tax, the boost to the economy, this storm has brought? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk |

Just wait for the reconstruction. Wealth transfer from the insurance companies to the construction industry. |

We only thought that our homeowner's insurance rates and deductible costs went up before. After Irma look out!

It will be interesting to see if any insurance companies pull out of Florida like State Farm did years ago.

I suspect a number of insurance companies are going to want to bail out of Florida. Indeed many insurance companies have never wanted to underwrite in this state.
Be prepared for your Homeowner rates to go way up. Rick Scott open the door to the insurance industry which created much of the premium increases already incurred by Homeowners. What will the state do if Irma does her worst? will the stat continue to permit Mc Mansions along the coast line? If so we will all share in the premium increases ? However, the first priority is to be safe, then deal with the aftermath. How well will your insurance company treat you and more importantly how quickly will the respond? an event like this separates the wheat ( good companies from the shaft ( bad insurance companies)? |

Just took out our policy and scanned into our pads, and emailing to our accounts. Insurance companies are here for now.
I do not worry about things I cannot change, Irma is one of them. I am watching old comedies for now, and trying to meditate. Everyone is prepared as best they can, and many are waiting from a distance for reports that this community will provide.

Any boost to the economy would ultimately, most certainly be felt by the taxpayer. If not, then there is no real "boost." What is the source of your information?

The aftermath is going to result in great losses of revenue from lodging tourist attractions meals transportation est ect will far out weigh any temporary gains from any pre stom sales

He actually said sales tax on groceries. Depending on where you moved from, the property taxes may be considered low.

Please tell me how you aren't paying property taxes. I'd love to get in on that deal.

He said "ridiculous property taxes." They are reasonable compared to some other states.
