Quality Tires and Brakes
216 Co Rd 466, Lady Lake, FL 32159

I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a place that could actually change the oil correctly. I won't go into too much detail on that.
Two years ago my Check Engine light went on so I took it to a dealer's service dept. To make a long story short, they charged me $600. Check engine light came back on twice after bringing it back multiple times. So I gave up taking it back and just lived with it. The only condition that it gave was it turned off the anti-lock brakes and the cruise control. They assured me there was nothing really wrong with the engine.
Time to change the oil came around so I thought I'd give Quality Tires & Brakes a try. I told Vaughn there to give me the standard 6k mile servicing and told him about the check engine light. I said that he could try to fix it if he wants, but warned him that I'd probably be bringing it back after the light went back on. Well, I came back the next day and he did the oil change, (brakes were ok) and he changed the windshield wipers, all for $80 and by the way , he fixed the Check Engine light, no extra charge. It hasn't come back on since.

He doesn't take appointments. Just show up. He opens at 8am. First come first serve..

Nothing against the "Jiffy Lube" type businesses, or the small shops that are out there, but I like that the dealership will do a full inspection...I'd rather get a call that 'such and such' needs to be done, vs. having a problem on the road.

It gives me a little more piece of mind that I might avoid a problem when I'm traveling out of state
And you are paying a premium for that peace of mind.

They should be called Take 65 because that’s how much they charge for an oil change on a CRV. Wild wood tire is $39

Perhaps but it sure beat getting stuck on the side of an interstate.

I agree. Our 2003 Acura has never had a tune-up and it still runs great.

I also agree with the many people who recommend Wildwood Tire. We have been going there for service for six years and we trust them, even for fairly expensive repairs like getting a new air conditioner.

Something I always wondered about using those 5 minute oil change businesses.

The first thing they do it check the air in your tires after your tires are heated up from driving there,
then let air out because the PSI reads high.

The best time to check air in tires is when their cold.

All gas vehicles now have resistor spark plugs and the can fail causing miss.

Now matter where you have you’re oil changed you have to verify the done they job right. Many time they overfill. Which IMO not good. I have witness this several times. I will or go back to business than can’t even check dip stick after the preformed maintenance. Especially the the quick lub/change outfits.
