Default Old TV disposal?

Purchased CYV has two "old Style" televisions that we do not want. Will The Villages pick these up? If not, where do I dispose of them? Thanks.

I think those are considered hazardous waste. Check with the trash company before putting them out.

When you call this number they'll schedule a curb-side pickup, usually the next day.

The last time I called one of the Habitat, Salvation Army, or Goodwill, they would not accept the older tube type TVs.

Couple of ways to get rid of them:

Leave them on the curb with sign saying they work. Someone will happily take them.

Do a post on free cycle.org for Lady Lake. This Yahoo site is basically for people to donate to others. Folks will respond and arrange pick up. I've never regretted using this site.

Leave out on garbage day.
