There ya go. Our dog doesn't leave the pavement when walking next to private homes.

One thing I have found out about living here is that just before dementia sets in people get very cranky and constantly looking for faults in other people or something to complain about!
For the amount of dogs that live in the villages you would think our lawns would be ruined but as I drive around in TV it is not the case at all!

OK - I'll add to the number here. Our dog goes mostly in our yard but occasionally someone else's on a walk. I have yet to find one shred of evidence that her pee has in anyway caused a problem. We do have a small dog.

Maybe the next time I will take a picture of the offenders and post it on TOTV for everyone to see.

Not gonna work here. You'll just pi$$ off the responsible dog owners and their friends on the forum. And the offenders probably aren't even on the forum.

I hate when my dogs get loose every morning, you all put too much toxic nonsense on your lawns-it's just not healthy. I would rather have healthy dogs than look at perfect lawns.

Perhaps responses were slow to come because this is an old, old complaint.

Sadly, there are inconsiderate dog owners who allow their pets to befoul neighborhood lawns.

Equally sad is that legally it's not your lawn in most cases. If you will look at your purchase papers you will find that your property line is not at the street. In most cases the first 12 or 15 feet between the edge of the street and your property line is part of the roadway right-of-way. Although you are expected to maintain the lawn, it is not yours. You have no standing to charge a person in this area with trespassing.

People can ignore your complaints, so why bother?

Try as we might, our small dog won't poop on demand. Most times she pee's good at home, so when she walks, maybe 1 or 2 drops come out-of-her for her to let other dogs know she's been there. We ALWAYS pick-up #2 when it unexpectantly happens when out on a walk. I think there's a saying "____ happens". We're not irresponsible dog owners but our little doggie just doesn't let-us-in on her schedule.

Ditto here on that. Out little guy does most of his business at home (outside). BUT HE loves the walk around our block and 80% of the time when he lifts his leg, it's dry - just how dogs are...marking territory etc. He loves to sniff others scents. Same when we bring him to the Postal Station. Much of his lifts are dry ones. Also, as mentioned here - when one looks at lawns either the 'private' or the TV common areas next to curbs/streets or the Postal areas etc - I tend to see no obvious yellow marks or such.

I DO not respect those owners that DO NOT pick up or allow their dogs to do work 10' beyond the curbs - but those seem to be the minority. I hate to be grouped with them - we ALWAYS pick up; have bag at the ready, and minimize the public places for our little guy.

I have some don't-likes too - such as following gas carts into tunnels, bad drivers, hoggy restaurant patrons, loud folks, smokers, etc etc etc. That's life and live with it. Getting a verbal Forum coronary fit does nothing but make one bitter and rile up the usual suspects here,. And tends to Yada-up the forum. But - that said, do respect your right to voice these matters. yet once again.

When her one or two drops come out it marks her territory on my property. Every other dog in the neighborhood now wants to come and sniff and deposit on that spot. If they are kept on a 6 foot leash you are supposed to be in control of the dog. Keep them 6 feet from my property and I have no problem.

If using the rational of Carl in Tampa is correct that the first 10 feet is part of the right of way then he shouldn't mind if I go park my car on his lawn.
