That's fine. But why do owners allow their dogs onto other people's yards and grass?? They're walking in either the street or on the sidewalk, so why allow the dog into somebody's yard? Why not keep it on the pavement or sidewalk? If the dog "needs" grass to eliminate on, then owners should use their own yard.

The first thing that needs to be stopped is the retractable leash released to whatever length the dog desires. Control the dog and keep it close, not extended to yards.

The most important problem dog pee creates is that the owner does not want it on his lawn. I would suggest the owner could come pee on your lawn, might not damage the grass but you may not care to have it happen.

Could not have said it better myself! There is absolutely no reason why a dog has to walk on anyone's property but its own!

It is quite easy to understand not wanting dog poop in your yard. It is nasty. I do realize it is your private property but you do live in a community and everyone should have a little patience with those around them. Pets are a very important part of many of our residents lives including mine. You can't clean up pee and some pets just won't go in the street. I find it sad that this troubles you so. I hate to think I am about to move to an area where I can't even walk my dog without grumbling as we do the best we can to clean up after them. I guess in such a close neighborhood there will always be differences of opinion. Seeing the constant grumbling on this subject is disappointing.

I have already been in the yard an had a dog walker leave their mess in the yard. I simply asked them directly and politely to please clean up after their pets. This will be the last post I will do or read on this subject. I prefer to lead a positive life and hope to encourage others to do so living in harmony.

If you want to stop the grumbling, let them pee on your lawn and stay off mine.

Totally Agree and I own 2 dogs, they go nowhere but our yard, that does not mean I want pee and poo from another dog in my yard. You never know if another dog may have parasites of some sort. It's just common courtesy. Make sure you pet pees and poops in it's own yard good then go for your walk.

Ever notice the furtive looks when they extend the leash? And the way they turn their backs on the dog as it does its business. They know it's wrong. They just don't care.

Baloney! If you keep the dog on the sidewalk or pavement and the dog has to go, sooner or later they'll unload.

And if they don't unload while out on the walk and kept on the sidewalk/street, they can do it when they get home, on your own property or in your house or garage.

I have a nice big yard where the dog can take care of her business before we leave. However sometimes if we are out on a long walk she might need to relieve herself. Picking up the poo is no doubt required. I want to see a yard where the grass is so senitive a bit of dog pee is going to burn the grass.

I guess I'll put a sign saying dog pee is welcome....

It's really simple. Dog goes in their own yard and then goes for a walk as a reward. Been doing this here for 5 years, no problem. Second pit stop when you get back to your own yard.
