Default One of my Favorite Things...

If you could pick the one (only one, Gracie!!) favorite thing about living in The Villages, what would it be?

Our FRIENDS even though we only see each other for a few months a year we still keep in touch the rest of the time.

Good neighbors.

In a town to the west on Florida's Gulf Coast, where we used to live some of the neighbors were just fine. On one side though was a house with a criminal defense lawyer as its owner. He rented it out to some real winners. A National Coast Guard helicopter pilot who liked to check up his wife's fidelity by buzzing the house every so often, a man who raised pit bulls in his garage in cages and dragged two of them outside of his car when he was attempting to teach them to run, a couple of fugitives from another state, etc. A couple of these renters were OK though.

The people! THe vast majority of the people in The Villages are so friendly and kind. There are some grumpy old men and woman but I ignore them.
Going thru the drive thrus in my golf cart.

Default Quiet

I love the piece and quiet we have when I sit in my Lanai in the morning with my coffee and paper I can hear the pickel balls at Truman and at diner time I hear nothing except maybe a neighbor saying hi! No dirtbikes, barking dogs or cars racing down the block. Do I miss my old neighborhood NOT !!!
