Default one stupid and one inane question

I can not believe it but we are finally on the way. Movers will be here on July 7th and we will be out the door shortly after them. It is a LONG drive...1800 miles with the furry kids. Just grin and bear it, I guess.
OK..here is my one stupid and one inane question.
1) Do we need to go thru the ARC to put up a direct tv dish?
2) I am not understanding the irrigation water thing. I did read that the irrigation water available at certain times was not drinkable. Does that mean that water that comes out of the watering heads at OTHER times is drinkable? I am a little concerned about the furry kids...
When you stop laughing I would love an answer.

There are no stupid questions... you asked and now you know.
Drive safe and get to TV safe and happy.

If it's installed by one of the companies that services TV regularly, they will work with the ARC for you as necessary.

Have a safe trip - we just drove down from Ohio Saturday with our furry girls - take comfort in knowing when it's over you'll never have to do it again!

I was taught in "Brain Storming Training" that there are no stupid questions OR no stupid answers... only stupid reactions to those questions sometimes. The reasoning behind it is that seemingly stupid questions or answers can stimulate the thoughts of others that in turn could lead to brillant answers!

Irrigation water south of 466 is reclaimed so definitely not potable nor would I let my grandchildren play in it. Irrigation water north of 466 comes from the same source as water into the home. However, in order to be on the safe side, I wouldn't advise drinking any water from outside the house.

I agree with all the above, there are no dumb questions.

ladydoc - It used to be necessary to get approval for installing a satellite dish. Not so anymore.

I sent an e-mail to the ARC last fall as we were going to be installing a satellite dish. Here was their response:

"Thank you for your inquiry.

The ARC Committee no longer needs to approve satellite dish installation. However, we do have suggested guidelines as to placement. What you are proposing (ground-mount the antenna on a short pole that would place the antenna several feet above ground-level rather than doing a roof mount installation at the rear of a Patio Villa) is within our suggestions. Please see the attached sheet.

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact this office.

Have a nice weekend.

Here are their guidelines for installation/placement (the "attached sheet" referred to above):

Hope all that helps!
