Default getting ready to open LSL??

Noticed they were putting new soda dispensers and shields in at all the "Bait Shacks" at LSL this am. Might be getting ready for entertainment again? Wouldn't the bars needed to be opened first?

They put the shields and hand washing stations up a few months ago, about the time they put up the new shade structures.

Better have enforceable COVID rules. Since no other area entertainment venues are available it’s a certainty that younger non Village residents will be attending, drinking and violating COVID protocol. Confrontations are likely to occur. Too soon???????

I hope that the squares will have nightly entertainment very soon.

If you are high risk, take precautions, keep safe, but please let the rest of us get on with our lives!

Amen ! Too soon ?? It's been far too long to fear sitting outside listening to music. But, I'm sure some will object if a husband and wife get up and, heaven forbid, they DANCE. Some who could not take that sight should of course stay at home until they are able to accept people talking, dancing, listening, and enjoying themselves. People who are in poor health should definitely not expose themselves to unnecessary risks ! People have to use common sense... but there is very little of that to be had. Personally, if I were having therapy that effected my immunity, or if I just finished such treatments, I would follow my physician's directions AND use my common sense. I'd not to go to the squares (should they resume), or to crowded indoor bars and restaurants until my doctor felt my condition was back to normal. Just think of your own medical condition, and then "use your head" as my dad used to say....LOL... when you decide "to go, or not to go". Just also please don't pontificate, preach, or dictate what others should do. You don't know if they think the same as you. None of us know the medical histories of others completely (unless in your immediate family), so let's each and every person make that personal decision for themselves, and not start telling others what they should do.

Very bad idea to open the squares back up during with what we're going through at this time. I can just see the "square ambassadors" trying to get people to social distance.

Totally agree. If the make the mistake of opening the squares before the pandemic is under control I hope they also open up multiple Covid testing facilities and put the ER on notice to get ready for the upcoming onslaught. I would rather wait to dance than risk experiencing what it's like to be on a ventelator.

Would love to see them open but they better be real careful how they do this.

If we can listen to music and be comfortable distance from others might go.

We all should be careful about our own potential exposure, and our ‘neighbors’ exposure....those without higher risk health concerns must also exhibit caution, as they become carriers and spreaders of the virus when they let their guard down. The exact situation is happening on college campuses across the nation. The time for relaxation of restrictions is when an effect vaccine had been distributed. For now, social distancing and facial covering.

Wear your mask, social distance and go live your life. If we hibernate until we get a vaccine, itll be next year. I have life to live

Someone mentioned not opening the squares until Covid is under control. We were told that a few months would flatten the curve. Still under CDC guidelines everywhere. So WHEN will this be under control??? The numbers have been proven to be skewed (who actually died of Covid versus who died with it that did not contribute to their deaths). I am for personal responsibility. If you are medically fragile stay home but for those of us that can wear masks and social distance, we should not be forced to stay cooped up like rabbits. For the person who said that the bars should open first - they are open and we have been enjoying music and entertainment in them. So why aren't the village squares open...?
