Default The Orchestra at The Savannah - Great Show!

I don’t think even Jeff Lynne could have made it any better!!

I totally agree. I have been seen them twice, however only one is an original member the person who plays the violin.

I have been to both since Jeff Lynn has come back and well.. no comparison.

PS: They were before The Orchestra named ELO #2 before Jeff put a stop to it.

That said they are a very good substitute for the real deal

I missed Jeff's voice. All the vocalists had smooth voices and Jeff's is raspy and passionate. The music and arrangements were spot on...loved it!

The older guy playing the keyboard is original as well and wrote the orchestral arrangements.

This was so much better than when they were here before adding an eight piece string section to go along with the blue violin and electric cello.

I saw ELO back in the 70's and this was much closer to the original with the added strings.

I too have been fortunate to see the original ELO.
Also saw ELO2 at Wembley Arena when they first started out on tour without Jeff Lynn.
For extra strings they had The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra!
It was an absolute blast, but the one thing that was obvious, without Jeff Lynn they could not fill the large arenas any more.
Hence they fill the smaller venues, and as all seem in agreement here, they can still rip it up, and are in MHO still 'one of the best!'
