Default Opinion wanted re: Kenmore appliances

Thinking about buying the Kenmore Elite but not sure. Anyone out there with a strong opinion one way or the other about this line? Thanks.

We bought a Kenmore Elite front load washer and matching dryer in 2011. They've been great. I did buy the extended care because of all the electronics.

We have Sears Elite kitchen appliances and love them. We opted out of the choices at design and bought our own. Have the convection double oven- a slide in with controls in front, dishwasher and the microwave. Love the refrigerator also. Like the space inside. We have the cabinet depth refrig. Sears Elite are good choices. We have had ours since September and very pleased so far!

Great, it's the kitchen appliances I'm thinking about - so far so good!

Default Kenmore

Kenmore appliances are always made by another manufacturer and the slap a sears (Kenmore) label on it. Currently LG appliances are making the Kenmore logo appliances. Check out the LG reviews and see if they are good.

The guys at the Sears in Summerfield will be happy to tell you who the current manufacturer is for them. When we bought it was Whirlpool which btw we also have had terrific luck with. We spoke with a couple of longtime appliance repair people we knew that hart work "often" on our GE appliances and they assured us we made a great choice. Ge these days is bottom of the barrel. But that said like anything they have a bottom of the line and top of the line range. Do your research and make an informed decision, you can get a lemon in anything. Good Luck.

Default Wouldn't buy anything else

Over the years we've had several different rental property's in the Outer Banks area. We always put the Sears Elite in the houses. We buy the protection agreements and they check the appliance yearly. They get abused with weekly renters and we have never had a single problem. When we sell the houses the protection agreements go with the sale and people love that. We personally have nothing but Sears Elite and will be getting a new dryer and hot water heater installed on Friday.

We look for the biggest bang for our buck and we get the best appliances, with the least problems, with the Sears Elite. You can buy with confidence. (No I'm not in any way associated with Sears!)

Default Kenmore Elite

Deb
My brothers and I were home builders in VA a few years ago and we chose the Elite Series.
They were considered a quality product and we never had a home buyer complaint during those 5 years of use.
Though I'm not a big fan of Sears, I would buy these appliances for my personal home.

Are they quiet, can you hear the compressor come on very much - believe it or not, that sound drives my dog BONKERS! Nope, not getting rid of the dog, rather get new refrig.

Always had good luck with Kenmore. Not so much with GE.

We have been Kenmore customers for literally decades. I don't remember when or why we started but we've had nearly every Kenmore product that Sears sells, and that even included a riding lawn mower. Our last purchases were shortly before we decided to move to Florida and that included a Refrigerator, Stove, Washer, Dryer and Dishwasher. In the future we will most likely continue to replace items we now have with Kenmore products.

We have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher and are very pleased with it. Originally we purchased a Bosch but it wasn't available when we closed on our house so we ended up with the Kenmore Elite. We are very happy with it. It works great and is very quiet.
