Default Orange Blossom Opry

We were invited by friends to go to the Orange Blossom Oprey last night. Wow! First time for us and what a great show!! It was Country but with a great mix of other music, plus some comedy sketches. The band that played and sang, what a talented group. The guitar and vocal talent was outstanding. Started at 7:30, band took a half hour break, which enabled us to enjoy refreshments in the lobby, and they played until 10PM. All of this for $11pp, and reserved seating. Had our names taped to the seats assigned to us. Can't beat that for a Friday night entertainment.
BOOYAH!!

Located in Weirsdale on corners of rte 42 and 25, entrances on both roads, kinda tucked back in. Used to be part of the school house. Looking forward to one of the shows in 2013, Crystal Gayle.

Gee. I am an Ohio girl too, a Northerner, but never get nervous when people are singing Dixie. It is just an old folk song now, kinda like "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". We were taught both of them in seventh grade glee club. History. Just history.

Away, away, away dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn South in Dixie...

Well some Southern folks have a little trouble forgetting "the recent unpleasantness", I have been told, but never met one who was still stuck back in time. All the ones I know are part of the U.S.A. and likin' it, just like me.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Opry!!!! So much talent right in our own back yard. Lori Gill has such a fantastic voice and can sing anything from Country to Broadway. My 8 year old granddaughter insists on going there when she visits each year. Reserved seats are the best this time of year when the snowbirds are coming back. Usually a full house then.

Be sure to go to the Orange Blossom Opry when they have Tommy Mara and the Legends of Doo Wop performing. Outstanding!
