Just noticed with the gully washer we just had that there is a leak around one of the pipes in the furnace closet. Who would you recommend for what might be a simple repair? Thanks

If you roof was recently replaced I’d contact roofer? This seems to be problem creeping up with all roofs that been replaced.

I am assuming that you have a gas furnace or water heater, and the leak is around this pipe, in this case I would go with a roofer. If this is not the case you may need to look in the attic to see where the leak is coming from. We do not have gas, and there are no pipes in the furnace room that go through the roof.

Leaks around roof penetrations are a common problem. If you are handy, you can go check it out yourself. Probably a can of tar and a stick will do the trick. It's not that complicated. You can use a garden hose after the repair to check if it solved the problem.

Replacement roof call the roofer. Original roof, the Villages will give you the roofers name. call them. I did several years ago and they come out and fixed it at no charge. Had two neighbors with similar leaks and they got fixed at no charge also.
