How long from order to delivery of a new golf cart?
We are excited to make our permanent move in July to our home in Fenney. The plan is to order a new golf cart at the Villages Golf Carts at Magnolia Plaza. Does anyone know how long it takes to get delivery on a new cart? Thanks..

About 3 months. You get a loaner for free, as soon as you put a deposit down.

Ordered one 3 weeks ago and was give a delivery time of June 31. They provided a golf cart for our use until the new one is delivered.

I bought my 2021 Yamaha in December off the floor and took delivery the following day. I could have had it the same day if I really needed it, or they would have given me a loaner if I needed one. My tastes are relatively simple, and I don't need bells or whistles on a golf cart, so I may not be typical of a Villages golf cart buyer.

We bought one off the floor at Country Village Power Equipment in Webster FL. They had one we liked but it was a gas model and we wanted electric. They just switched the chassis and we had it in days and saved over $2000 over Villages stores. They have an indoor showroom with a wide selection.

You may want to price around other dealers. Carts and clubs in Ocala was able to beat the Villages price by $1,000 when we bought a few years ago. They will deliver to your home and go to your home to perform periodic maintenance. Welcome to south of 44!

How did you choose between gas or electric?
I was wondering how would someone decides between gas or electric powered golf carts is it convenience or pricing do you get more options with electric like A/C and wipers or gas gets more range, so what’s a better choice for the TV?

Everyone likes different things. I only looked at gas because of the long drives we take and once batteries are dead it takes over night to charge. I you are out and about and the battles are dead it is hard to then go to the centers for music etc.

Do they provide a free loaner for 3 months also? If not, and you rent one, there go your $1000 savings.

As to A/C. You surely know A/C uses a lot of power and you need an enclosed passenger compartment. As far as I know the only one is branded Atomic. I think it is electric. Surely when you run the A/C the range goes way down. All is a matter of opinion. We have an 8 year old Yamaha with (gas) fuel injection. We use it almost every day and are here full time. Service-no shortage of places who can, will do service. No shortage of part availability. Repairs? Other than once a year oil change and tune up-none. We have replaced the battery. It was till working but at 5-6 years sooner or later it will let you down |

Not true anymore as I understand they price match now as long as it is apples to apples. I hear this is it part of the reason The Villages Cart stores are selling a consistent 400-500 carts a month.
