Both have the original manufacturers code. You are supposed to change the code when you install the systems. Manufacturers can not worry about getting the codes to the opener and the remotes in same in the box so they are all the same. The neighbor 2 door down obviously has the same brand opener and also did not change their
codes.

Clear all the codes out before entering a new code. There is also a way to manually enter codes using the buttons on a remote controller.
