Just offer to make them S'mores. They'll put down their clipboards for sure!

Hey I have a white cross in my front yard and it’s 6 inches outside the overhang of the soffit. Should I move it ? FARTHER OUT IN THE YARD!?

Can't see the point of a fire outside a warm house.
Camping is a different story.
It's not just about the warmth, it's just a part of the whole experience. Can't beat the nice look and feeling of a backyard fire, looking up at the stars on a good night, and roasting the occasional hot dog or marshmallow on a stick once in awhile.

I am also interested in an LP firepit. I was told they use a lot of propane. What has been your experience?

LP is propane. Perhaps you're thinking of a natural gas firepit.

I've used one for years. "A lot" of propane is relative, as it depends on how many days a week you use it, and for how many hours each time.
