I think he wrote that he has an experienced lawyer as his wingman too?

Tal, I would think he has a crew of wingmen. This is not a project for the faint of heart or mind.

Is it possible for snowbirds to vote via absentee ballot regarding this Oxford Horse Park Special Election?

Voting...NO

There are numerous spots to visit and enjoy the horses. This is about the gambling rooms that accompany the site.

I agree with Bucco.
Many race tracks have fixed and shady handling of horses.(abuse of horses) I have gone to many tracks and I much prefer to drive out of town once in a while to the track.
I support Florida Horse park.

Mcelheny,

I have heard of many hidden abuse and neglectful conditions with horse and dog track racing. As a devout animal lover I am very concerned.
It is always upsetting to me to see animals exploited for our amusement! :realmad:

Or our culinary enjoyment!

If i could vote it would be a YES. I'd love to play $5 limit poker - might supplement my TVRH income!

My husband lived with a coach who had race horses. The things they do to horses to fix races etc. is very sad. Better not hijack ...but love you Nomie!!

Vote YES. Since we're up North for the Summer, I called the Sumter office today and they are mailing me an absentee ballot tomorrow. I was told by the Sumter office that I still have time to vote for the Oxford Horse Park via absentee ballot.

Either Yay or Nay, you can vote this issue via absentee ballot if you're a registered resident of Sumter Cty.

Gracie, please don't hold his "youth" against him in this endeavor. He's schooled in business matters, not only by his college education, but by his family. His family's guidance is even more valuable than his college education. There's nothing better than "hands on" experience. I think he'll do fine if this ballot is approved.
