Default Paint color help

I am trying to find a green paint color that is barely green. I bought samples, tried them on wall, bought one and it will not work.

If you know a have a green paint that is barely tinted, please tell me.

Thank you.

The one thing that I have learned along the way is that a whole wall of any color is always darker than the sample so look for something lighter than you think you want. I have Valspar Grassy Field 6004-5A which is very pale and I like it very much.

It’s funny you ask. I recently watched a YouTube video from Garden Answer of a renovation. I love her wall paint color & it seems close to what you describe. I’ll try to post a link below to the video. In that video at 23 minutes they discuss the beautiful greenish/grey/beige wall paint color Laura’s Mom chose. Mom says it’s a custom color but closest to Hardwick White by Farrow & Ball. (Color sample Link below) I made note of it because i like it that much! Is it what you had in mind? If so, the big paint stores (Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore) can color match to it. They have stored references for color mixing so id call them to ask if they have the one you want. otherwise, you may need to take in a sample for them to scan & analyze to match it. (No extra cost) I’ve used both SW & BM brands several times & I prefer BM. Although BM usually costs a bit more, it covers beautifully & it gives a better, more durable finish IMO. You'll probably only need a gallon or just a few so its worth it, right? Home depot Behr is ok if its not a room you really care about or your color is not too saturated (like i did a deep Burgundy once)

Have you seen Hardwick White No. 5 by Farrow & Ball?
I love that color. Its a greenish/grey/beige.
SW or Benjamin Moore can color match. Id call to ask if they have this formula stored. If not, youll need to take in s sample for them to make a free scan.

I posted a much longer answer with links but it vapoorized. Hope this helps!

You may want to go to a paint store and get “real” advice.

I used to buy little paint samples at Lowe's, painted half of a poster board and taped it to the walls. It's amazing how different it looks when hanging on the wall.

we selected Sea Salt from Sherwin-Williams and painted our lanai, Laundry room and guest bedroom. Very, very light green pleasing to our eyes. Received numerous compliments

Check out Sherwin Williams Ancient Marble. It’s considered a grey but has a soft green undertone. Creates a calming effect which is why it’s used in spa like settings Personally I never see the grey, only the green. But a friend of mine can see the gray depending on the lighting.

Whenever I think about painting the interior, my heart races, and I get no where. Curious how many paint the whole interior one color, versus varying for different rooms?

So much easier to use Paint Samples - Shop Samplize Paint Samples - 100% Color Accuracy

You get large samples painted with 2 coats that stick to the wall. Peels and resticks easily so they can be viewed anywhere even on the ceiling. No mess or lots of paint cans to deal with. Cost effective and saves time too.

Sherwin Williams Opaline is a beautiful soft green, it was recommended to me by a paint consultant. Its blends well with all colors.
