Default LSV questions

We finally have a LSV scheduled for mid December, and this morning I rec'd an email confirmation for our upcoming visit. In it they mentioned that we would "meet with your Villages Representative to review your itinerary for your stay".

What exactly happens during that? Is it just an overall explanation of what is available for us to do? They don't try to lock you in to any fixed schedule to go here & there & do this & that... at specific times, do they?

And since we're probably a couple of years away from retirement, we're definitely not coming down to buy anything yet, but we would like to look at a few homes to get a general idea of what they're like. We don't want to waste the time of a realtor or sales rep, but are there at least model homes that are open & available to tour, at our leisure?

thanks in advance for your responses!

Relax. The village rep is not there to force you into anything. Probably just show you the home you will be staying in. They'll just explain some basic things to you and leave you alone. If you want to see some house, you will have to call them. There is no forced or strict schedule. You can come and go at your leisure.

I was in the same situation as you and explained that to the sales rep and they had no problem with that. There won't be any pressure to buy and they are very accomodating to what you want to do. TV sells itself.

Be prepared to be blown away by the beauty of TV.

Enjoy yourself and have a good time.

P.S. Take the trolley tour. It's free.

i totally agree w/2bntv...there will be NO pressure. Your rep will offer to make tee times for you if you are interested, explain the use and safety of the golf cart and point you in the right direction as far as entertainment available during your stay. Enjoy the ride...TV is an amazing place!

Your sales rep will actually be your best source of info and assistance. They can help you to enjoy your visit and ensure you get to see and do everything you wish to.

When we visited in September, they had the sales rep talk to us when we arrived to check in. Right from the start we told her we were just checking the Villages out and would not be buying at this time. She took us for a quick golf cart ride around Lake Sumter square area on a 4 seat golf cart and then had us follow her to the Creekside Cabana we were to stay at. Before she left, she made an appointment for the next day to show us around. So the next day she drove us around.....we visited a couple of recrecration centers, golf country clubs and at the end she showed us 3 new courtyard villas (all next to each other on the same street). At the very end we went back to the Sales office and she helped us book a tee time and also helped us get conected to the wireless internet at the Sales office. (There was no internet at the cabana)....It might have been an hour from when we arrived the first evening until we were inside the cabana and the next day when she drove us around, it was a couple of hours.

Like others have said she did not pressure us about buying.

Finally! A question I can help with!

We just returned from our LSV a couple of weeks ago. We arrived and met immediately with our sales rep. He had us follow him to the Courtyard Villa we were assigned (Creekside), showed us the Villa, explained the golf cart, and made an appointment for the next day to show us around. He picked us up the next day, showed us a bunch of stuff, then showed us a few model homes. There was absolutely no pressure. I think they know the place sells itself. After that we were free to do whatever we wanted on our own schedule.

You'll have a great time! I know we loved it and can't wait to get back--as full time residents!

One of the best things about TV during our lifestyle preview stay was that there were no sales presentations to attend nor any pressure whatsoever. I was very skeptical about that when friends said there is no pressure/presentations.

The agent assigned to us during the stay took us to our villa at Creekside, showed us the golf cart, drove us around a little bit so we'd know some landmarks to navigate with, dropped us off at the villa and said, "Consider me your host during your stay. Call me if you need anything or suggestions on places to see, and if you want to see homes for sale, just call me." Host is a good term for it and we did ask to see some new and pre-owned homes. We knew on the first day here that we would buy at some point, and we did, a few months later.

There is no place like TV. Period.

Default Love the Lifestyle Experience!

We arrived in May 2011 for the Lifestyle Experience. We met our host who took us on the short tour over to Creekside Villas where she explained about our villa, the golf cart, bikes, tee times, etc. She also gave us a copy of the rec news and a calendar, which I thought was odd (I later understood why this is an important thing to have! lol!). We told her upfront we weren't interested in looking at homes as we had no intention of buying. We visited our friends who lived here, played golf, ate out, danced at the square, met new friends, and had a ball. When we checked out, we again told her we had no intention of moving here but would love to visit in the future. With no pressure or hard sell, she wished us well and off we went...only to call her in 3 months to tell her we were moving here full-time!! Such is the power of visiting The Villages!! It has now been 1 year, and we've never looked back. As one guy said as he walked by us at the pool one day, "Why are we the lucky ones (to live here)?" I don't know; I only know that every day of Village living is a blessing.

Good Luck! You will have a fabulous time!

Default All True

We've done couple of Lifestyle Preview Packages and all what other postings indicated are absolutely true. NO pressure sales. You can look up in the local paper which houses are open homes and you can go on your own or ask half a day or one day to spend with the sales rep. There will be no follow up unless you want it. Our reps in both cases were very nice and helpful but we already had our friend's rep so we went with her but they didn't mind that. Still helpful on other matters. Enjoy LPP.
